Data Retention & Deletion Policy

What Say Do retains, for how long, and how users can delete it.

Retention periods

Local audio is deleted immediately after successful transcription, with residual files removed within 24 hours after a failure or crash. Transcripts, prompts, AI replies and searchable history are retained for 90 days, including deletion of associated OpenAI conversation items. Account information is retained while active and for up to 30 days after closure. Payment and tax records are retained for at least five years from the applicable filing date, or longer when legally required.

User controls

RESET starts a new AI conversation. CLEAR MEMORY deletes searchable saved history. DELETE HISTORY deletes conversation history associated with that WhatsApp sender. Complete deletion is available through a verified support or dashboard request and is completed within 30 days.

Backups and financial records

Deleted operational information eventually expires from backups under the backup lifecycle. Legally required financial records remain restricted and separated from operational account data.
